Meanwhile, Qora tries to enjoy the wealth and privilege that comes with being the champion, but also struggles to come to terms with her new Raptoriva persona as she's constantly forced to act as a public icon for Qhapaq Apo. With no word from Ninan since the homecoming ceremony, she yearns to do something more meaningful with her time.

When Qora and Sakay get involved with the Razorclaws, a rebel group seeking answers about Qhapaq Apo's suspicious, heavily guarded activities, they inadvertently reunite with Ninan, only to end up on the Velosaura tour when the princess demands that the champion and her "bodyguard" join her. Tensions will rise like the tide as time runs out to stop the wedding-and, more importantly-the impending war.
