After a quarter of the population vanishes, Micah and Clarke struggle to get by as they try to locate their missing parents. Even though Micah's absent mother tried to prepare him for an apocalyptic event, she withheld a key piece of information about Micah's true identity and his family's legacy. With the help of a homeless man, a fallen priest, and his new girlfriend, Micah must uncover his mother's secrets while at the same time understand his connection to the dark stranger who haunts his nightmares.
