Waiting in Fear

April Bailey's fear for her military husband's safety is compounded during World War Two when her sister, May, is stalked by a serial rapist and killer. May, hitch hikes from Penn Yan, New York to Henrietta, New York to spend Thanksgiving 1944, with April and her children. She is picked up by a fugitive rapist and killer who attacks her. May escapes and hides in a snow bank. She flags down a snowplow truck driver who carries her to April's house. The killer knows that May can identify him and follows them. April convinces May to stay with them. April shields her three children from what's happening the best she can.
