We are fascinated by water, it attracts us both physically and emotionally. Throughout the history of art, water has featured heavily, from classical fountains to waterfalls being one of the main requirements in a romantic landscape.
In this book John Kiely explores his relationship with water in motion, from rural landscapes through to intimate portraits of mountain streams. Over the past twenty years John has been photographing running water, both in colour and black and white, on a variety of cameras from large format film through to digital capture.
The 61 photographs featured in this book are divided into two sections, the first in black and white and the second in colour. All have been produced in the UK in locations such as the Peak District and Lake District national parks in England, and the Snowdonia National Park in Wales.
Many of the photographs included in this book have been displayed in exhibitions throughout the UK.
