We Are Different and We Are beautiful

As parents raised in low-income communities, we try to shield our children from the environment in which we were raised, only to find out that the environment we thought was safe could have a damaging effect on our children's self-esteem and confidence.  

When Aubrey entered kindergarten, she came home one day discouraged and upset.  It was the first time she realized she didn't look like 99% of her classmates or her dear friend, Hannah.  She wanted her hair and skin-color to be like her classmates. As a mother and daughter duo, we have partnered together to help Aubrey discover her inner beauty.  This book is co-written for early readers, we bring education and empowerment to help children understand their differences in a positive way and to recognize their individual beauty.  They will also enjoy rhyming and sight words to enhance their reading and learning experience.
