Boone lives a simple, isolated life on Weeping Rock Mountain. Alone but for the memory of his twin brother, his sheep are his livelihood and his only companions. When an unseasonal blizzard traps him and his flock near the summit, Boone is prepared to do anything to keep them all alive -- until an unseen creature begins picking off the sheep, one by one. Confronting the creature sparks a strange, magnetic relationship between two exiled survivors who walk the margin between predator and prey, parasite and host.
