"A basketball coach in high school drilled us on the fundamentals of the game," Calhoun recounts. "He would say 'Practice does not make perfect-perfect practice makes perfect.' If we carefully and prayerfully get the perfect basics from the Word of God, and apply them fully and faithfully, our 'game' will improve."

God wants us to win in this "game" of life. He has made every provision in Jesus Christ for us to be winners in every way. He has given Himself and sworn by Himself, to make this come to pass. If we are (1) willing to hear what God has to say in His Word, (2) receive it for ourselves, and (3) take His provisions and apply them personally to our lives daily, God's answer for us will be revealed.

It is exciting to know that God is for us and not against us. He is not out to put us down. He is out to lift us up. He is the good Father who cares for us and desires for us to walk with Him in fellowship and power. He wants to help us find the answer to whatever is our concern. As we each walk with Him in the basics, our game improves and the blessing multiplies into the whole world. We become a living testimony of God's answer unveiling in the world today.
