Ole Morgensen is a Danish barrister in his mid-seventies, who has known tragedy and fortune in equal terms. Used to being in control, he now finds himself convalescing after a brain tumor operation and advocating for patients' right to choose -or refuse- treatment. Still funny, lucid and opinionated; at times, calm; other times, brutal, we witness his meticulous reexamination of past and current relationships and his attitude to life. Jealousy and reconciliation, joy and regrets, guilt and hope, revenge and love, loss and seduction, honesty and betrayal... nothing surprises him, except Cecille's reappearance and revelation.
