What We Feed The River

The Sovereign of Elbwrath is dying. The wheels of succession grind into motion. The Bolyar, nine great lords of the realm, gather to select a new ruler. Yet whoever they choose will be saddled with mending the wounds lingering from a conflict that saw sorcerers and their puppeted corpse soldiers ride roughshod over the land. Worse, the alliances needed to win out have bred strange bedfellows, and those keen to take advantage of the change in leadership. Yet when their allies' leader goes missing in the heart of the wartorn countryside, Jahrom, son of the sovereign, and Herich, his own son's intended, must retrieve him. Along the way, they are aided by a brutally pragmatic mercenary and a scribe, enlisted to their cause by the sovereign's duplicitous confidants. Should they find the man they seek, will he still be the one they knew? The one they need to see home to his own shores?
