When she was fifteen, Ruby Wilcox was involved in one of the most heinous and publicized crimes in British history, a murder which came to be known as the Vincent Street Incident. During her trial, she never stopped protesting her innocence - but all the evidence pointed her way. After her imprisonment, Ruby disappeared, desperate for anonymity.

Now, two decades later, Peter, a filmmaker, has managed to track Ruby down at her job as a barmaid, where she works under a pseudonym with a drastically altered appearance. He tells her that a streaming giant are about to announce a huge new series based on the Vincent Street Incident, bringing the crime back into public consciousness. Peter offers her an opportunity to finally speak publicly before that series comes out, in Peter’s own documentary – if Ruby ever wants the world to know what really happened that day at Vincent Street, it’s now or never.

But when nobody in her life has ever believed her, why should Ruby trust that Peter believes in her innocence and wants to help her? If the whole world thought she was guilty back then, would they believe her now, if she told the whole truth?
