Where I'm From

Where I’m From is a love letter written for AJ, Jaiyana, Sienna, Savannah and Ezekiel. They are first generation Australian, Smoan, Tongan and Niuan, and the nieces and nephews of Smoan writer, Gabriel Faatau’uu-Satiu.

Where I’m From is a reminder to all children of Pacific heritage, to never forget who they are and where they come from. May they embrace all the things that make them different as they proudly navigate life in modern day society.
