'Whipstock' follows Nellie Manville, an uninhibited woman currently employed in an oil company cafeteria, and her mother Florence, who works as a landman. Beginning with an unprecedented conception atop a drilling rig, This is the story of Nellie's highly unusual two year pregnancy, amid an oil and gas consuming environment. Throughout, a historical backdrop is provided by Mary, Nellie's dead-yet-still-emailing grandmother, who was an oil divining doodlebug.
