Why Anything - Why Not Nothing

Captain Robert Cowley walked a deserted Pacific beach; it was pre-dawn, dark, and chilly. Suddenly, he heard a voice: "Robert, look up." He looked up and observed the faint glow of Mars and billions of stars. The voice spoke again: "Why anything. Why not nothing."
