Known as Arizona's "Heroin Capital," this region embodies the plight of rural America: severe health disparities, rampant addiction, and a crippling lack of resources. This book chronicles the author's journey of finding purpose-a purpose that led her to serve Mohave County's residents, where health disparities are not abstract statistics but lived realities. Here, limited treatment access, inadequate transportation, and low socioeconomic status form daily barriers to well-being, with staggering human costs across all facets of life.
