Wisdom, Prophecy and Prayer

'Wisdom, Prophecy and Prayer,' is a book of gnomic wisdom chapters in three 'centuries' or series of a hundred chapters, revisioning prophecy and prayer in the light of the living transmission of Eastern Orthodox Wisdom in the tradition of the desert.
Father Silouan lives in an Orthodox Monastery within the Romanian jurisdiction of the Eastern Church, high up in the south-west Shropshire hills. He lives alone under the Shepherd's Rock on the eastern slopes of the Stiperstones. He lives a life of prayer, silence, liturgy and work in the unbroken tradition of Orthodox monasticism.
