Sent to Saskatchewan, Canada by her over-bearing Mother-in-law, Emily and her new husband, Paul, find themselves in a hostile environment. A tenacious woman who is, as yet, unaware of her inner resolve, Emily faces the challenges of her new life with steadfast single-mindedness. Paul's absences and Simon's presence further her secret determination to leave Westbury and create a home of her own.
