And Miels was about to break it.

Never had Miels considered breaking that rule. He'd never been tempted by those within the palace and had no trouble finding companionship outside of the palace. But one look in his little one's direction has everything spinning on its head.

As the Remedies Expert who is hated by one too many of her peers, the last thing Etel needs is to give said peers more reason to despise her. So when Miels persists with her, she denies him even though it's all she's ever wanted.
