Ingrid Symes, destitute and low on cash, is forced to live with her only living relative, the corrupt and miserly Arthur Symes in a small provincial Australian town.

When her uncle refuses to bequeath his wealth, she sets about robbing him of the $500,000 in his safe, with the aid of the two men she seduces, the foreman of Arthur's business, Doug Haywood, and corrupt Detective Rob Charles.

Ingrid will use anything at her disposal to get his wealth, her beauty, charm, and cunning; resorting to manipulation, poison, and even murder to achieve her ends.
