Women and Leadership in Africa and the Middle East

This edited collection on women and leadership brings to light the conceptualizations as well as the experiences of African and Middle Eastern women leaders from the past and the present. It recenters their perspectives in the mainstream body of theories first by providing anew and nuanced understanding of gender and leadership; and second by building on women leaders' experiences to better raise the challenge of closing the gender gap in leadership in Africa and the Middle East with full respect of the specificity of Africa and the Middle East.
