Alex Cides is a working man. Struggling to get by and do right by his wife and daughters, he plies his trade as an electrician and handyman across the Southland of Los Angeles. It's not enough.

But there are other struggles going on that Alex isn't even aware of. The forces that propel the Earth around the Sun are the same as those that hold your tires to the road, keep a field of grasshoppers from becoming a plague of locusts and allow a man on the edge to ignore the voices in his head. When those forces fall out of balance, the universe seeks out someone to make it right. Without knowing why or how, Alex becomes that someone.

With his life in turmoil, Alex loses his job, his temper and then his family. Desperate for help in earning back his wife's trust and respect, he turns to Baba, an animistic priest who reveals there's a curse on Alex. He must perform ten tasks, returning balance to the universe, in order to lift his curse and get his life back.
