Yesterday

They were young and in love, yet they had never met.

They lived half a world apart.  Until ...

Fifty years later, Sandy opened a musty box containing long-forgotten treasures — reams of fading letters and her battered old diary. Reading them transported her back to another era, when the Beatles ruled the air-waves, ‘love-boats’ plied the seas, and the times they were a-changing.

She re-lived her fun-filled cruise to Europe, recalled the joys of living in swinging London and laughed through every moment of her hilarious romp through Europe. But it wasn't all fun ... she vividly remembered her anxiety at boarding a ship alone at 21, the heartbreak of partings and the courage needed when she found  herself alone and penniless.

Sandy not only survived, she thrived  ...

but her final triumph surprised even her.

This was her Rite of Passage.
