health and nutrition of both the body and soul. With the sacrifice
of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we now have liberty from the
restrictions of the Law. But we find that not everything edifies or is
beneficial for good health. Scripture regarding health and nutrition
is just as relative today as when first God-breathed. It provides the
believer a means of proper stewardship for the physical body to better

Joe C. Guthrie Jr. is a practicing physical therapist.
He also has 20 years experience working as a law
enforcement officer in Louisiana. He is a graduate
of Louisiana State University with a BS in physical
therapy, and California University with a PhD in
complementary medicine and nutrition studies.
