Jade Doe never knew who she was; abandoned just hours after she was born and raised in foster homes by the state, she learned to survive by hardening her heart and protecting her emotions. When Mr. Starr, a mysterious older businessman suddenly appears in her life offering her a chance to make something of herself she jumps at the opportunity, but Jade finds out that there is a price for everything and no one is who they seem to be. 
Suddenly thrust into a family situation and learning how to survive in the new world she's been introduced to, Jade learns more than she bargained for. Her mysterious benefactor is not who he seems and her new 'family' is just as obligated to him as she is.
Jade, along with Quinn Jones, her new 'foster sister' will have to figure out how to untangle themselves from the lives that have been chosen for them or accept the fact that they will forever be indebted to Mr. Starr and his shadowy, international organization.
