Alone in the Castle

Atop Wayside Mountain, Crystal McCallum lives in lonely isolation, bound by a mysterious condition her parents are desperate to keep a secret even from their own family. Crystal longs for companionship, self-acceptance, and to be a normal kid, the very things that have eluded her for so long. Shortly after Crystal turns fourteen, she meets a group of kind-hearted hippies who stand by her through thick and thin. Despite their support and encouragement, Crystal must take a risk and confront what she and her parents have feared all her life. Will she be forever bound by this disturbing affliction, or will she finally be able to spread her wings and fly free?
