Amazing Grace Newton and The Purple Puddle

Seven-year-old, Grace Newton, has received the worst news from her papa—her beloved Nana has died. She doesn’t know how to handle the loss and seeing her mother’s grief takes a terrible toll on the whole family.

Desperate for solace, Grace discovers a friend named Mazie, reflecting in a purple-colored puddle. Mazie listens to Grace’s woes, which in turn, helps her cope with the hurt.

Skeptical Hope, Grace’s older sister by six years, thinks that Grace is losing her mind for talking to a mud puddle. Most of the time, Hope is too busy trying to stay on course for her future career as a record-breaking astronaut while Abel, her constantly-caped little brother, looks for answers about where their Nana is …  

While trying to mend her mother’s broken heart, Grace discovers a hidden talent for sewing, that previously had been fostered by her nana. 

Grace comes up with a plan to celebrate her nana’s life in the style that her effervescent grandmother would have loved and amazes her whole family with handmade outfits for them to wear to a surprise, fun-filled dance party.
