Behind the Smile: My Story for His Glory is an emotional account of how Jesus Christ entered into a seemingly destitute situation and restored an entire generation. In this memoir, Betty Viehmann Raymond shares her emotional journey of being abandoned by her father and mentally-ill mother, experiencing foster care, being raised by her great aunt and uncle, and reuniting with her father at the age of 30. Betty hid the debilitating shame, fear, inferiority, abandonment, rejection and insecurity from everyone she knew. After getting married and starting a family of her own, hiding behind the facade became too much to handle. Everything changed when Jesus knocked on her heart and showed her His way.
