Broadband Communications

Broadband communications is one of the key technologies for building the next generation global network infrastructure to support ever-increasing multimedia applications. This book contains a collection of research papers that address some of the important issues of providing such a broadband network infrastructure. It comprises selected proceedings of the Fifth International Conference on Broadband Communications, sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and held in Hong Kong in November 1999. The book is organized according to the 18 technical sessions of the conference.
