Bruges Blood

When a tourist canal boat collides with a headless torso, and a centuries-old corpse turns up beneath the Christmas Ice-Rink, the police chief must take urgent steps to protect Bruges’s tourist industry. Detective Jochum Van Hoog and Katja Blondell are soon in charge, and when Hoog sees obvious similarities to Chandler and Dukes recent case, he invites them to join his team in the investigation. Their search takes them underneath the city streets on the trail of a  17th-century serial killer who hunted his prey while witches burned at the stake, and whose past threatens to become their terrifying future.
