Captain Jenkins

In the year 2260, twenty-three Alternate Earths have been discovered. Each one of them is nearly identical to our own, with one big difference: they are all inhabited by beings that went extinct on our planet long ago, or that most people think never existed at all.

As big of a breakthrough as this was for science, the discovery of these other Earths quickly led to the discovery of something else: ways to smuggle things from them.

That's where I come in.

At sixteen years old, I, Alcyon Jenkins, am the youngest woman at The Academy to ever be awarded the title of Captain. My job is to return stolen things and creatures to the place (and time) where they belong, with the help of my beautiful ship Lucinda and my almost equally talented, well-trained crew.

I just wasn't expecting that crew to be composed of a bunch of rude, disrespectful teenaged boys.

An obstinate First Mate, a clueless chef, a defiant doctor, a mocking pilot, and a handsome but brooding Lieutenant make for bad company as we make our first journey up among the stars.
