Charley O'Shaughnessy and the Ghost of the Tiger

Charley, a determined 12-year-old girl from Astoria, Oregon, finds herself alone when her father, a sea captain, mysteriously disappears on his last voyage. Set in the 1890's, Charley must leave her home and all she has ever known to join two uncles, strangers to her, who are working as miners in Burke, a mining camp of the Coeur d'Alenes in Idaho Territory. Before leaving Astoria she is given a cryptic letter from her father which sets her on a journey to find the truth about who she really is and what happened to her father. Follow Charley as she discovers more about herself and the wonders of the world around her.
