Life is good, but Erin can't leave well enough alone. It's not enough to walk in the daylight, or have the man she loves. The prophecy drives her to risk everything as she uproots Gery, Mary, and Esterella to leave Moscow for London. She searches for an ancient group of vampires called the scholars. Will they hold the information she needs or will it be a deadend?

Erin soon learns of her own role in the prophecy and the truth of what it means for Gerry. Even with that knowledge, she isn't willing to stop. They find themselves on a hunt for the most ancient vampire, Cain.
