Day of the Dead

In the story that began Wynn Cabot's career as a detective, Santa Fe, New Mexico, prepares for festivities celebrating Dia de los Muertos-the Day of the Dead. But in the shadows three people are murdered-a prostitute, a shopkeeper and a former lover of Wynn Caobt's-each of them bludgeoned by a legendary holy relic that shouldn't even exist. Is the murder weapon the priceless original, risen from the ashes of a museum fire? Or, like so many pieces of this case, is it not what it seems?
