Declaracin Universal de Derechos Humanos

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is the first international agreement setting out freedoms, rights and entitlements for all humanity to claim. It emphasizes the inextricable relationship between fundamental freedoms and social justice, and their connection with peace and security. The General Assembly of the United Nations proclaims this Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations, to the end that every individual and every organ of society, keeping the UDHR constantly in mind, shall strive by teaching and education to promote respect for these rights and freedoms and by progressive measures, national and international, to secure their universal and effective recognition and observance, both among the peoples of Member States themselves and among the peoples of territories under their jurisdiction. La Declaracin Universal de Derechos Humanos (DUDH) es el primer acuerdo internacional que establece libertades, derechos y prerrogativas para toda la humanidad. Enfatiza la relacin inextricable entre las libertades fundamentales y la justicia social, as como su conexin con la paz y la seguridad. La Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas proclama esta Declaracin Universal de Derechos Humanos como un estndar comn de logro para todos los pueblos y todas las naciones, con el fin de que cada individuo y cada rgano de la sociedad, teniendo constantemente en cuenta la DUDH, se esfuercen mediante la enseanza y la educacin para promover el respeto a estos derechos y libertades, y a travs de medidas progresivas, nacionales e internacionales, para asegurar su reconocimiento y cumplimiento universal y efectivo, tanto entre los pueblos de los Estados miembros como entre los pueblos de los territorios bajo su jurisdiccin.
