On the eve of their thirteenth birthday, all of the witches in the Four Elements community are given the charge to find their most esteemed of all gifts.....a black cat. Not an easy task with over a thousand black cats roaming the streets and the one you have to find was designed especially for you. This undertaking is even more challenging for Freya, considering the class bully, Kinley, is determined to do anything it takes to ensure that she will fail. Will Freya find her cat in time for the induction to International Witch & Warlock Society at midnight? If not, her dream of becoming a full-fledged witch could be lost forever.
