From Darkness to Light

Was there Someone up there? It was a constant question running through La-Du's mind every night, as she gazed up at the lights in the sky and contemplated Someone listening to her thoughts. Her oldest daughter had been sold into slavery by her husband and La-Du was worried about whether she would see her again. She sought help, and it was given in a life-changing way in author Gloria Hartman's latest novel, From Darkness to Light. After LaDu's request to Someone, news emerged that a missionary visit to the isolated tribe was to happen. La-Du's strong feelings toward the revival prompted her to bring the family, where the family was saved and accepted Jesus as Lord. What occurred in the days to follow established a spiritual transformation in La-Du and others: in realization of knowing God is that Someone, the importance of walking like Jesus and being loved by God.
