From Yard to Foreign

The story illuminates the social and emotional challenges faced by immigrant children as they attempt to find their voices and themselves as early adolescents in a new country. It provides a personal reflection and perspective on the challenges faced by many students whose parents migrate from the West Indies to, more often than not, a larger country, but whose final destination landed them in the United States in hopes of making a better life for themselves and their children.
