In the episode novel with an autobiographical background, the author tried to describe the dominant and most important events and the knowledge gained from the last 70 years of his (or Felix) life.He looked through the faces and read between the lines.He saw the masks and he met the chameleons.In the "swamps" of life, which became thicker and thicker, he was able to get to know different (mostly ugly!) relationships in society, between: Strong and weak, men and women, locals and foreigners, adults and children, educated and petty bourgeois, employers and employees and others, again and again.He was a "foreigner" for almost 50 years and this is a special course - for those who can see and hear attentively.Real experiences from the Felix eternal battle with inner and outer demons were described, especially during his move to the west.The young at heart will remember their childhood, if they had one.The adults who had to grow up so quickly that they were never children at all, will see what they have lost - and can never catch up.Especially the weak, the poor and the marginalized (the foreigners and guest workers) will often recognize themselves here.The future (war-, economic-, or sex-) refugees will learn a lot about the "Golden West".For many of them, "Go West" won't be as appealing afterwards! The lovers of the film will like to remember their cinema time by some scene descriptions and their comparisons with the well-known films.
