I Will Change the World

What if your child could travel to the continent of Africa without ever leaving their living room or classroom?

We think it is extremely important for boys and girls to learn global thinking and leadership skills. We want students to be culturally aware in a world with so much cultural diversity. Ultimately we want students to do something legendary to turn the world upside down. We want them to change the world.

"I Will Change the World" allows children to travel vicariously-with the main characters J and Jay-to explore the continent of Africa. Their exploration will be filled with adventures in farming, entrepreneurship, real estate and most importantly, listening to and learning from African boys and girls. Allow African girls and boys from ten countries-along with J and Jay-to be your child's travel guide through this journey of global leadership and global thinking.

"I Will Change the World" addresses the following questions and many more:

• Why is it important to listen to others, especially as a leader?
• Why is empathy an important trait for a global leader?
• How will you communicate with others who speak, dress, look, eat, or believe differently?
• Why does understanding different cultures help you become legendary?

Boys and girls must learn the art of listening. They must respect and even honor cultural differences without compromising their own beliefs. They must be comfortable in allowing others to lead them. They must understand that even though another peer may lead them that it does not minimize the leader within them. The goal of this book is to model global leadership traits through J and Jay and the African children. We want to help other boys and girls to develop cultural awareness, listening skills, and global leadership traits.
