Jan Otters' Closet

At the centre of a magical realm, in a city called Zoogly, a petrified dragon makes a wish at the Fire-Tree for someone to come and help with a three-headed school bully. Little does he know that after two adventures with the girl who was sent to save him, he would fall head over tail for her. Eventually, magic pearls allow him to transform into a human and he becomes the gorgeous Derek Pendragon - but will his feelings be returned?



On earth, ten year old Jan Otters suffers at the hands of her own tormenting school bullies but has never been brave enough to do anything about it. One day they push Jan into the janitor's closet, unaware that this will send her hurtling into a mysterious new world!



By befriending the dragon, a bookworm and a unicorn, Jan's adventure helps her face her own demons and prove to everyone that bullies, even those with three heads, can be STOPPED!



Triumphant, Jan returns home, convinced it has all been a dream. However, months later she receives a note from the dragon asking her to come back and help again; his parents' eggs have been stolen, and the unicorn is missing!



But sadly, Jan has her own problem: losing her beloved Granma. She needs her fantasy world and her dragon friend to help her cope with the loss; the note is a lifeline back to a world that can help turn her nightmare into a manageable reality.



Later, Jan is now attending the Academy and is desperate for the school heart-throb to notice her. However, a cruel prank sends Jan back to her dragon. This time mermaids and a budding romance await her.
