June and the Menstrual Mates

June is starting 6th grade! She is ready for a fun year with her best friend, Sam. Everything starts off normally until she starts her first period! June is shocked and scared, not knowing what to do next, so she turns to the school nurse. Ms. Alice sends June to the magical world of Ilume and introduces her to some unlikely superbeings, the Menstrual Mates. They teach her about her body, how her period works, and the dangerous STIGMA. June must complete the 7 Phases in order to leave Ilume and get back to her friends and family. Can she step up, learn to defeat the Stigma, and complete the Phases?
