"On October 13, 1972 an Uruguayan Air Force plane crashed in the Andes. Forty-five people were on board. Many died on impact, or in the hours following the crash. At over 4,000 feet above sea level, under temperatures of 22, and without shelter or food, the line separating victims and survivors was increasingly blurry. Only sixteen of them would make it out alive."--
