Each of the 10 Leadership Practices are based on the author's research findings from her Dissertation entitled, "Transformational Leadership and Personal Development: The Impact of The Youth Citizenship Seminar on Former Participants." All 10 Leadership Practices have been written in the form of quotes that were created by the author. Lead With Excellence also contains 10 uplifting affirmations for leaders to reflect upon and share with others to lift them up through different situations that occur in life. These 10 affirmations were developed based on the author's personal and professional experiences. After reading the author's book entitled, "Leading People: A Pathway to Personal Development" several people asked Dr. Keichea Reever to write a simplified leadership book with the same research-based concepts that would be an "easy read." She heard them loud and clear and she immediately began to think about the content and the format for this book in 2015. Dr. Keichea Reever is an overcomer who always strives to Lead With Excellence! She has used the leadership practices that she writes about in this book throughout her personal and professional journey. She has worked in the field of Education since 1995. She began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist and she currently works as the Senior Director of Special Education in an Urban School District. She is also the Founder/Director of the Southern California Mentoring Academy (SCMA) which was established in 2006.
