THROUGH AN INSPIRING, INSIGHTFUL, AND THOUGHTFUL exploration of substance abuse and how to help those experiencing it, Dr. John Narine shares strategies to help business leaders provide compassion, encouragement, and practical guidance for their employees who struggle with substance abuse. With a powerful testimony and lessons learned from personal experience, along with excellent research, Dr. John Narine's work serves as an impactful book of wisdom, knowledge, and teaching for business leaders.

JOHN NARINE, DBA, CEAP is also the subject matter expert and editor of The Colorado Recovery-Friendly Workplace Toolkit, provided by the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention.
DR. JOHN NARINE is a son, brother, and researcher whose mission in life is to ensure that his knowledge, skills, and experiences serve a purpose higher than himself. As an employee who has struggled with addiction, he understands and can relate to others who constantly live in fear of being judged or fired while trying to get back on their feet. Because of this, he is wholeheartedly committed to serving the community by advocating for employee performance and workplace well-being. Today, John is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional and enjoys a life free from the bondage of addiction. If he's not out running in nature, listening to Bollywood music, or eating Chinese food, you can find him curled up on the couch with a good book and a bag of gummy bears. He resides in Denver, Colorado.
