It is common knowledge that more than 50% of teachers leave the profession within the first 5 years of teaching. It wasn't until my fifth year when I felt the burnout. It scared me. So...I wrote, and I shared it. I didn't know, but many in my life, and many not in my life, had also been feeling the slump, but didn't quite know how to put it into words without feeling...violated. Nearly ten years later, these are those words (and more), and now they belong to you.
