A series of letters to and from dad are weaved into the story; Jason writes not only to Santa, but to PRESIDENT BUSH and even a LETTER TO GOD . asking for help to bring his dad home. Letters From Jason shows how a military family deals with the parting of a loved one sent (deployed) overseas during a time of war-a timeless story that families have had to deal with time and time again as loved ones are separated by war. (Time period 2005-2007) This story portrays how 7-year-old Jason reacts as he misses and needs his father. Though classified as fiction, the story is based on truth. Twelve truths of the story are listed at the end of the book.
