The author
Julia Hickey has devoted most of her career to the post-compulsory sector, delivering teacher training programmes and teaching English Language and Literature at a range of levels, from basic skills through to learners undertaking Access Courses into higher education. Since 2001 she has been an associate lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University delivering on the P.G.C.E., Cert Ed and B.A. Education programmes.
