Monsters & Angels

Are those eyes looking out from the closet door? Are you really by yourself when you are
playing outside? These are common fears that a child will question as they learn more about
themselves and the world around them, especially when it comes to monsters in their closets and
angels around them. Author Rose Wood brings readers into the circumstances of these questions
in her two-story children's book, Monsters and Angels. Both stories show what a child feels
when they believe monsters live in their closet or that an angel might be protecting them from
danger. Yet Rose goes further into the faith of a child, showing prayer occurring when the main
character is frightened but sees the truth behind "seeing is believing". As the child sees more of
his/her protection through the grace of God, the child begins to believe even more of a Heavenly
Father watching over him/her.
