"Our big family lived in a three room board shack Daddy built 'fore he knowed how many of us they was gonna be. All together, they was ten of us stuffed into our little mountain home. They was Daddy, Mama, two older brothers, Eugene and Donald, and Eugenes wife Dotty, my two older sisters, Ila Mae and Willa-dean, and then me, my younger brother Jonnie who was sickly since he was borned in 1950, and Gran-ma on my Mamas side. If the truth be told, I spect you could say I was named after her."
