This second volume of the a žTheophrastus Paracelsus Studiesa oe presents a collection of papers by international scholars from a variety of disciplines. They illuminate the factors from the history of culture and mentality which were of significance for Paracelsus' work, and his comprehensive activity in religion, medicine and alchemy, together with his influence on contemporary developments in medicine, natural healing and bioethics. In addition, the authors deal with aspects of sociopolitics and the history of ideas which move the central significance of Paracelsus more into the focus of attention.
