?House? serves as the narrator, answering inquiries of a boy named Archer as he requests to hear stories of the past. In particular, Archer wants stories about the property on which House was built 100 years ago. House answers with the discovery of the Ancient man from the years 1050 to 1400 as revealed by archeologists in the early 1900?s, followed by more modern Native American tribes, explorers, fur traders, missionaries, Mormons, gold hunters, immigrants and settlers. All characters, from the Ancient Man to the pioneer settlers and families who lived on the property are discovered in pictures, stories and genealogy set in the context of our development as a nation with historical photos to bring it to life.
